CODE-Social Entrepreneurship Project launched by AIESEC Mainland China and Avantchange was first introduced to Fudan University, China in 2008 spring. Around forty university students were involved in the social enterprise business course and five promising business plans came out of it.
Thanks to this good start, AIESEC Mainland China expanded this project to other 13 top universities in Beijing, Shanghai and Hong Kong in autumn 2008. Around 350 participants were targeted. The new project includes a social business course named CODE (Center of Dream Enterprise), internship opportunities, social business plan competition designed and Young Social Entrepreneur Summit (YSES)。
Our mission is to discover and develop young social entrepreneurs in Mainland China and Hongkong to start up their own social enterprises. Through the development process, we can promote social innovation and inspire the students to take charge in solving social problems creatively. Social entrepreneurship aims to create a harmonious society by using business solutions to solve social problems. We believe that Chinese students can change the world now by setting up innovative social enterprises. We envision this project will scale and become the best student-run social innovation factory in China.
